@TheBookWorm1718 PS– BTW Chuck also invented (or stole) the BookWorm, which he used in a couple of Sniffles cartoon, although in 1939 the same year as one of the said Sniffles cartoon, MGM also? did a BookWorm cartoon, with witches (and in my opinion the one on the left, who has only two lines, sounds just like Witch Hazel), AND the voice of Mel Blanc as a raven. The MGM BookWorm is a really brilliant cartoon.

@TheBookWorm1718 To be honest I was more? interested in this cartoon because Chuck Jones stole the “Witch Hazel” character, (he loved the voice characterization). He made Bewitched Bunny and Broom-Stick Bunny using the stolen name and voice, and made lots of references to Disney in the cartoons. Perhaps even Hansel and Gretel (also in it for treats) in Bewitched Bunny echo Huey, Dewey, and Louie. My favorite thing in this one is Dewey’s ghost costume.

@gnikcohs Never thought of that, but it’s a good point, but in the comic book of this episode they explained that bringing Witch Hazel into it was a large part of it, so if you think about it it only makes sense that they join together. It? wasn’t explained in the cartoon why she was out and about but it was in response to a lot of kids not believing in witches anymore, so her helping them proves that she is one if they’d had any doubts before.

Good cartoon, but I can’t see Huey, Dewey, and Louie ever needing anyone’s help to take Donald down.?
